Eliza is a DOS version of the 1960s program that holds a conversation by playing a psychotherapist and turning what you type back into questions. Michael Day wrote this version and put it in the public domain.

How to set it up

  1. Install DOSBox Staging or another DOS emulator.
  2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
  3. Start DOSBox Staging and type mount c "<folder>\eliza", where <folder> is where you unzipped the download, then c:.
  4. Type ELIZA.EXE to start the game.
