ChaotixSoda’s pack upscales all of Sonic Heroes’ textures with AI restoration, using several different models across the game to get a clean, sharp result with fewer artefacts than the low-resolution, compressed originals. The HUD and UI use HD art from the 4X GUI mod for the PC version, adjusted to work in Dolphin.

The aim is an HD refresh that stays faithful to Sonic Team’s early 2000s art direction, not a redesign that modernises the look.

How to set it up

In Dolphin, open File > Open User Folder, then go into Load/Textures/.
Extract the download there, so you end up with a Load/Textures/G9S/ folder.
Open Graphics > Advanced and tick Load Custom Textures. Ticking Prefetch Custom Textures too stops stutter, if you have the RAM for it.
