SpaghettiKart is a native PC port of Mario Kart 64, built from the Mario Kart 64 decompilation by Harbour Masters.

It adds widescreen, higher resolutions and frame rates, a longer draw distance, an option to turn off low-detail models, custom engine classes, harder computer drivers, a track editor and mod support.

The download contains no Nintendo data. On first launch it asks for a ROM dumped from your own copy of the game.

How to set it up

  1. Extract every file from the archive into a folder you can write to.
  2. Windows: run Spaghettify.exe. Linux: make sure the zenity or kdialog package is installed, then run spaghetti.appimage (you may need to chmod +x it first).
  3. Select your US ROM (in .z64 format) when asked.
  4. It builds its game data (mk64.o2r) from the ROM next to the executable. After that, start the same executable to play.
