Super Smash Bros

Super Smash Bros
Released: 1999
Console: Nintendo 64
Developer: HAL Laboratory

Super Smash Bros is a fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory for the Nintendo 64. It is a crossover between several Nintendo franchises, such as The Legend of Zelda, Mario, Pokémon and Donkey Kong.

Each stage is based on a game from one of these franchises: one draws on Donkey Kong, another on Yoshi’s Story. Unlike most fighting games, you don’t win by draining your opponent’s health, but by knocking them off the stage.

Only two major texture packs are available for Super Smash Bros, but both are well made. Pietschie and Bad Randolph’s texture pack is the most complete and faithful one for the game.
